Residence Mercuur is a luxury multi-family home. The living quality of the different units stands central in the design process. It was our ambition to design a multi-family home that has the appearance and feel of a villa and the convenience of an apartment.
The volume of the building with recessed bays ensured an optimized privacy between the units withoutsacrificing light and views. Each apartment enjoys a spacious south-facing terrace. The Mercuur residence comprises nine high-profile apartments that are each different. The apartments vary in size and shape of floor plan.

Residence Mercuur has a contemporary design with a twist to the Turnhoutse School architecture move- ment. The use of warm materials, materials with texture, ensure a luxurious and timeless form that is detached from fashion and trends and in keeping with a long-standing local tradition. The bricks are laid according to a pronounced brickwork pattern. This elevates the simple wall surface to a fascinating visual and tectonic experience. Strips in indented and protruding brickwork bring rhythm and structure to the façade.
